CREATING AN ATMOSPHERE FOR GOD TO WORK
I am the first to state that God does not always require that the atmosphere be just right. For often in the Word, He has just operated in spite of whatever. I know that if He chooses to do anything, He will not be held hostage by the absence of atmosphere.
I also know that many times ATMOSPHERE CAN PROVIDE A PLATFORM FOR HIS PRESENCE. We all know how beneficial PRAISE is to CREATING A PLACE FOR THE WORK OF THE SPIRIT. For in Nazareth, their attitudes of unbelief caused them to miss the miracles that were intended for them.
Jairus’ home also had problems with their ATTITUDES THAT IMPACTED THE ATMOSPHERE. Jesus actually put them out of the house, apparently showing us that the atmosphere of unbelief seems to offend Him.
Often we are confronted with situations that seem to contradict a good atmosphere for Him to flow into and show His goodness. As believers, we must use our faith to see to it that the PLATFORM OF WORSHIP AND FAITH has been provided by us.
We must not accept what is “as acceptable.” Sometimes we do not feel right. We have had a tough day. Issues have taken their toll on us, and we just cannot seem to rise to the occasion of confronting spirits, depression, or whatever.
We must BE HONEST WITH GOD, at least confess to Him we are struggling and ask for help. Whatever we do, we must not just sit around and do nothing. When the dedication of the temple took place, the people filled it with song and praise attracting His glory to such a degree that the priests could not carry on as usual.
I am contending for all of us to create such an atmosphere of praise, song and worship that our Lord feels so attracted to the place, that HIS GLORY WILL FLOW into it and many great and glorious things will happen.
Please do what you can to CREATE AN ATMOSPHERE that will BRING GOD INTO OUR SITUATIONS.
